Hackensack Meridian Health’s ‘Seamless Transition’ to Axiom Budgeting in the Cloud

Hackensack Meridian Health, a 35,000-employee system with 14 hospitals and 500+ ancillary facilities, needed to consolidate and harmonize budgeting across many merged entities while keeping the process familiar for nearly 2,000 budget users. Facing detailed, employee- and patient-level budget requirements and a tight timeline, the health system worked with Strata Decision Technology to move to the cloud-based Axiom Budgeting platform and minimize the learning curve for users.

Strata Decision Technology hosted Axiom Budgeting in the cloud, integrated budget data from the general ledger, HR, accounts payable, payroll and a data warehouse, and provided templates and support to standardize workflows across different facility types. The solution was implemented in less than three months, now serves roughly 2,000 users across 500+ facilities, reduced budget-season overtime to almost zero (fewer weekends for a nine-person team), and delivered seamless upgrades and vendor support so users “didn’t even know” the system moved to the cloud.
