A Strapi Case Study
Smartshore Ability, a Netherlands-based Strapi Partner and team of international experts in complex product development and DevOps, rebuilt the Reformatorisch Dagblad news website. Facing the need to migrate and manage a huge archive (850,000+ articles), support editorial workflows, and integrate with multiple backend services while remaining future-proof and headless for other channels, the agency selected Strapi as the CMS.
Smartshore Ability implemented Strapi as the central headless CMS, integrating it with 7+ systems including a publishing flow, news supplier feeds, Elasticsearch search, analytics, and login/paywall, and importing 850,000+ articles. The new platform supports 10–15 regular editorial users, uses the Media Library and Draft/Publish/roles features, and now handles about 1,000,000 monthly visits reliably — outcomes enabled by Strapi.
