A Strapi Case Study
The MindGym, a 20-year behaviour-change company with ~300 employees and ~£40M revenue, needed a way to serve well-structured, internationalized content for a new digital platform without writing lots of rigid REST query APIs. CTO David Lush and his team evaluated many CMSs and chose Strapi (using Strapi Enterprise Edition) for its headless GraphQL API, custom content types, AD SSO, webhooks and dynamic zones that map directly to their UI component library.
The team implemented Strapi as their content platform (GraphQL endpoint) and paired it with Hasura to provide a federated graph over their Postgres CQRS read store, using Hasura’s remote schema to bridge Strapi’s API. That combination stopped them from having to write a whole slate of client and backend query code, materially accelerating development and time-to-market; according to The MindGym the Strapi + Hasura setup has enabled them to ship new products far faster, even if precise metrics are still being collected.
