Case Study: AE Studio achieves a rapid 2-week launch of BJ Fogg’s Tiny Habits Recipe Maker with Strapi

AE studio developed a habit making tool for best-selling author BJ Fogg in 2 weeks

AE Studio, a made-in-LA agile product and data shop, was tapped by BJ Fogg to build the Tiny Habits Recipe Maker — a responsive, embeddable web tool that helps users design habit recipes. To avoid building a custom API from scratch while giving BJ an easy admin interface and control over public vs. private content, AE Studio chose Strapi (headless CMS) to power the backend and content management.

Using Strapi, AE Studio modeled anchors, behaviors, categories, user recipes and ranking criteria, added custom code for email notifications, and exposed an admin panel so BJ can edit content and email users directly. Strapi cut development time dramatically — the project was completed in 2 weeks — provided the right mix of out‑of‑the‑box functionality and customization, enabled an embeddable widget, and avoided data privacy issues.
