Mercy Center Streams StrandVision Digital Signage to Residents' Rooms

Mercy Center, a nursing and personal care facility in Dallas, PA, sought to improve communication with its 140 residents by utilizing its existing in-house cable channel for more than just broadcasting daily Mass. They partnered with their local systems integrator and the digital signage vendor, StrandVision, to implement a solution for delivering timely information directly to the residents' rooms.

StrandVision provided its Internet-based digital signage and content management system, which was integrated into the facility's cable network. The solution allows staff to easily schedule and display weather, daily menus, activity calendars, and special event announcements. The residents responded very positively to the new information channel. The StrandVision system's success has led to plans for expansion into lobby areas, a process simplified by the existing cable infrastructure.
