The customer, Bloody Mary Tours, sought to provide a more flexible and personal touring experience for its haunted museum in New Orleans, whether for on-site or virtual visitors. Their challenge was to move beyond the constraints of in-person, live group tours and adapt to the new demands of the pandemic. They partnered with the vendor STQRY, using the STQRY Apps platform to build a custom mobile application.
Powered by STQRY, the solution was an immersive tour app that combined multimedia content like audio, video, and text with GPS mapping for on-site visits. This allowed guests to explore at their own pace and access virtual tours from anywhere. The results included a more efficient business model that was less dependent on the founder's live presence and the ability to easily update content. The app helped the museum reach a wider global audience, providing a safe, socially-distanced experience and driving success both during and beyond the pandemic.
