A STQRY Case Study
The African American Heritage Preservation Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving endangered historical sites, faced the challenge of raising awareness and providing funding to protect at-risk locations from threats like demolition and deterioration. They sought to expand their reach beyond their regional focus and create a centralized educational resource, leading them to partner with vendor STQRY to develop a mobile application.
Using the STQRY app building platform, the foundation created the "African American Sites" app, a comprehensive database featuring over 1,700 sites with multimedia content, mapping, and educational tools. This solution provided a single point of access for users and significantly increased the foundation's visibility. The app's popularity led to a second version with advanced features like geofencing and helped advance the foundation's goals, including the creation of a new grant program for preservation projects.
