Maybelline New York (DE) wanted to strengthen its social commerce strategy and make better use of the large amount of customer-generated content around its brand. To do that, the brand worked with StoryStream to source, curate, and secure rights for high-quality user-generated content for use across organic social media and paid campaigns.
Using StoryStream’s visual commerce platform, Maybelline New York (DE) built a library of UGC and tested it against influencer-created and brand-generated content on Instagram. The results included a 32% reduction in cost per click and a 74% increase in paid social ad link clicks, while the team also launched a shoppable social storefront and added curated social galleries to its eCommerce pages.
