How the Pumpkin App Taps into Storyly to Communicate New Features

Pumpkin, a peer-to-peer money transfer app for France’s Gen Z and millennial users, needed a more interactive in-app experience to make finance feel fun and accessible while also helping users discover and adopt new or hidden features. The team wanted a way to engage users who were used to social, participatory apps and to communicate product updates without interrupting the experience.

To solve this, Pumpkin used Storyly Stories in its mobile app for interactive polls, multiple-choice questions, feature promotion, and branded updates. Storyly helped Pumpkin achieve a 46% response rate on interactive stories, about 2.5x higher than other in-app survey methods, and 50% of users who viewed feature stories immediately tried the featured functionality, driving stronger engagement and helping reduce churn.
