Bols, the Dutch distiller, needed a faster way to expand into the US during COVID-19 and move from a mainly B2B model to a more direct-to-consumer eCommerce approach. Its previous custom CMS and webshop limited marketing autonomy and made it hard to launch and manage campaigns independently.
Storyblok, implemented by the agency Story of AMS alongside Shopify Plus, gave Bols a headless CMS with dynamic page-building, reusable content blocks, localization, and the Visual Editor. The new platform launched in just two months, delivered strong SEO and organic traffic, and attracted 300k+ users at launch, helping Bols create richer content-driven commerce experiences across Dutch and US markets.
