The customer, a local government institution, worked with WIRD Group to address a challenge with their large infrastructure of over 2,000 virtual machines. The specific challenge was securing their Red Hat Virtualization environment by creating agentless backups to the legacy IBM Spectrum Protect system. Storware was identified as the vendor whose vProtect solution could provide the required integration.

Storware implemented its vProtect solution, which proved to be a highly flexible tool for connecting the two platforms. After testing, an SSH transfer backup strategy was selected as optimal, and the implementation was automated using a customized Ansible Playbook. The Storware team provided support to optimize the process, leading to a 100% successful implementation that delivered a consistent backup solution for the client's large-scale environment.
