Tietokeskus, a Finnish provider of comprehensive ICT infrastructure solutions, faced a challenge with the availability of VM-backup solutions suitable for the scale of their Citrix XenServer environment. This created a significant gap in their data protection strategy for their high-security data center operations. Storware addressed this challenge by implementing its vProtect backup solution.

The Storware vProtect solution was deployed to protect 19 Citrix XenServer hypervisors, many containing large 1 TB VMs. Its load balancing algorithm optimized performance, enabling fast, simultaneous backups and ensuring all backups were completed within the specified windows. The solution provided Tietokeskus with easy monitoring and restore capabilities, reliably backing up a total of 14TB of data daily to IBM Spectrum Protect. Storware provided the resiliency needed, ensuring backups were no longer a concern for the customer.
