Security Mutual Life (SML), a regulated financial services firm, faced growing pressure to retain certain data indefinitely and to continually scale and test its disaster recovery and backup infrastructure. After deploying IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for enterprise backup and recovery, SML found Tivoli time-consuming to manage and needed a way to automate routine operational tasks and ease administration.
