Togglebox Reaches Higher Performance and Decreases TCO with Storpool Storage

ToggleBox, a cloud hosting provider, needed higher performance, better uptime and lower total cost of ownership to stay competitive. To meet that challenge they selected StorPool and deployed StorPool Storage (SSD Hybrid) as their software-defined distributed block storage solution.

StorPool implemented a scale-out hybrid SSD+HDD cluster (40 client nodes, 3 server nodes) on standard servers and redundant 10GbE networking, reducing complexity and avoiding vendor lock-in. The deployment delivered measurable gains — up to 700 MB/s reads and 300 MB/s writes, <1 ms latency, ~65k read and 50k write IOPS per node — improved service quality and uptime, optimized costs across the IT stack, and required no additional staff, significantly lowering ToggleBox’s TCO with StorPool.
