CloudSigma, an IaaS provider with seven cloud locations, faced fragmented, expensive and operationally burdensome storage—running an internal ZFS solution, all‑flash arrays and several scale‑out HDD deployments that overpromised on performance and lacked vendor support. To solve this, CloudSigma engaged StorPool and adopted StorPool Distributed Storage (StorPool Storage Software) to replace and consolidate their storage stack.

StorPool deployed a hyper‑converged/semi‑converged architecture across CloudSigma’s sites (50+ storage nodes, 1 PB+ under management, integrated via JSON API), tailoring each location’s setup with SSD/HDD mixes and redundant 10 Gbit networks. As a result, StorPool enabled CloudSigma to increase gross margin by over 15%, significantly boost performance, reduce customer churn and sell more services on the same hardware while simplifying operations and global rollout.
