The Changfang & Xidao Projects choose StormGeo for Weather Forecasting Services
Changfang & Xidao Offshore Wind Projects, developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, selected StormGeo for weather forecasting services to support their offshore wind farms in Taiwan. The projects required dedicated Metocean forecasting and typhoon warning services to manage weather risk, safely plan nearshore cable‑laying, and coordinate activities across a two‑year installation phase and the first three years of operations.
StormGeo will deliver dedicated Metocean forecasts from its regional weather centre in Dubai and typhoon warnings from its Houston centre, with services beginning mid‑January to support cable‑laying and other critical installation activities. By providing 24/7 weather intelligence and building on local models, StormGeo aims to improve scheduling and safety, reduce weather‑related downtime during installation and early operations, and strengthen overall weather‑risk management for Changfang & Xidao.
