T-Mobile Stays Ahead of Wildfire Season with StormGeo

T-Mobile, America’s third-largest wireless network operator with more than 100 million subscribers, needed a stronger way to prepare for severe weather and wildfire season while protecting network reliability and minimizing service disruptions. Working with StormGeo, the company sought better forecasting and incident planning to help safeguard its approximately 107,000 mobile towers across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

StormGeo implemented its Wildfire Risk Assessment solution, delivering daily risk reports, interactive maps, seasonal forecasts, and cell-site-level alerts for current fires, smoke and air quality, and forecast fire danger. With StormGeo’s support, T-Mobile can pre-deploy generators, dispatch crews, and activate backup coverage such as Cells on Light Trucks ahead of outages, helping keep service interruptions to a minimum and maintain near-bulletproof emergency preparedness.
