Toronto Internet Exchange Selects StorMagic for Reliable, Simple to Manage Hyperconverged Infrastructure

Toronto Internet Exchange (TorIX), a non-profit Internet Exchange Point serving 250+ organizations in Canada, needed a modern, high-performance hyperconverged infrastructure to replace a VMware deployment with no replication and to avoid large, hardware‑dependent alternatives. TorIX required a simple-to-manage solution to reliably host critical external services—online portals, telemetry, web and mail applications—and selected StorMagic’s SvSAN to meet those needs.

StorMagic deployed SvSAN as a two-node stretch/metro cluster (nodes 3 km apart) running on vSphere, providing low-bandwidth shared storage, 100% redundancy and high availability. As a result, StorMagic enabled TorIX to achieve maximum uptime, virtually eliminate downtime, and significantly improve performance for critical services, backed by StorMagic’s responsive 24/7 support.
