Italian Financial Group, a Milan-based independent finance firm managing alternative investments, faced aging servers and an overloaded physical iSCSI SAN that caused reliability and performance problems. StorMagic implemented a two-node SvSAN hyperconverged cluster on Lenovo ThinkSystem R650 servers (downsizing from three to two nodes), mirroring storage between nodes and using Commvault to replicate VM backups to Azure for offsite protection.
