Trinity College Dublin worked with Storm Technology to improve project governance and gain a true enterprise view of its expanding capital project portfolio. As the university grew its modernisation and expansion programme, its manual, template-based reporting made it difficult to consolidate reliable data, provide timely stakeholder reporting, or support consistent transparency and standardisation across projects.

Storm Technology implemented Microsoft Project Online, integrated with Trinity’s ERP system, alongside SharePoint document management and Power BI dashboards. The solution delivered real-time portfolio visibility, better data quality, stronger auditability, and executive dashboards for managing by exception. It expanded from 25 project managers to 150+ users across campus, reduced administrative overhead, and shifted the PMO’s role from policing to enabling project teams.
