A Storm ID Case Study
The National Library of Scotland needed to transform its outdated website to better meet user needs and support its strategic objectives of improving access and engagement. The existing site no longer reflected the scale of the Library's digital services. They appointed vendor Storm ID to design and deliver a new, user-friendly platform that would make its valuable resources more discoverable.
Storm ID implemented a complete redesign focused on accessibility and user research, which included a new information architecture and a modern front-end built with a componentized design system. They also delivered a new Umbraco CMS to provide a scalable and maintainable digital platform. The result for the National Library of Scotland is a more open, accessible, and user-centered digital service that effectively supports its cultural and educational mission for the future.
