Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service launches new intranet in 2021 with Storm ID

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), responsible for public prosecution in Scotland, faced a challenge in modernizing its public and internal digital services. They engaged the vendor Storm ID to transform their digital estate, which involved creating a new public Umbraco website and a new SharePoint intranet to improve how the organization works and delivers services.

Storm ID conducted extensive user research to develop the new platforms, which included a bespoke digital library and a user-centered publications filter. The new intranet and public website launched successfully, receiving positive feedback for significantly improving staff workflows and information accessibility. Storm ID continues to support COPFS as their Digital Applications Partner, working towards the long-term goal of enabling in-house platform management.
