Jupiter Group Enables Boonji Project’s Successful $18m Auction With Storj Dcs

Jupiter Group, a Web3 and fine art brand platform, needed a storage solution for the Boonji Project that could support digital ownership, global access, and high-resolution NFT artwork without relying on centralized cloud infrastructure. They chose Storj and its Decentralized Cloud Storage (DCS) to support the project’s digital art NFTs and metadata.

Storj implemented a decentralized, globally distributed storage architecture that enabled Jupiter Group to embed 4K-resolution artwork directly in NFT metadata, improve security, and deliver assets quickly worldwide. The Boonji Project’s three-hour auction of 11,111 digital avatars grossed more than $18 million, and Jupiter Group reported 80–95% lower storage and egress costs compared with traditional cloud providers, along with the scalability needed for a global audience.
