Stoney Creek Furniture, a long-time STORIS partner with two large Canadian showrooms, faced a growing challenge as nearly 50% of its sales became custom Special Orders: hundreds of fabrics and options made sales entry slow and error-prone, and during the pandemic customers wanted faster, shorter in-store transactions. The retailer needed a way to capture many vendor- and SKU-specific attributes quickly while maintaining pricing and purchase-order accuracy.
Stoney Creek joined the beta for STORIS’ Enhanced Special Order (Release 10.3), implementing customizable sales order templates, attribute-driven dropdowns, pricing pre-population, a “copy” feature for repeated configurations, and automated PO generation. The result was a seamless upgrade and rapid adoption that cut Special Order entry times by more than 50%, greatly improved data accuracy, reduced checkout time, boosted upselling, and increased customer satisfaction.
