Optus, a telecommunications retailer with 380 stores nationwide, needed a more efficient way to manage in-store music across its network. Using outdated USB-based updates was time-consuming and labour-intensive, and the company wanted to streamline the process without investing in new hardware. storePlay provided the solution.

storePlay partnered with Optus’ digital signage provider to create a version that ran on Optus’ existing media player, eliminating the need for additional hardware. The result was a centralized online music management system that lets Optus update music and in-store messaging instantly, while enabling staff to build playlists from approved tracks to suit each store’s customer mix.
