MIMCO faced limited or no in-store WiFi and had been relying on CDs—an outdated, breakage-prone, labour-intensive solution that limited music variety and demotivated staff. storePlay was engaged to replace this system with a modern in-store music service that would engage both staff and customers without depending on WiFi.
storePlay worked with an international partner to provide Ethernet adapters for iOS devices so stores could be hardwired, and deployed its platform allowing staff to build playlists from an approved music catalogue and customise the feel of each store. The solution eliminated CD-related issues, reduced repetitive manual work, boosted staff engagement, and is being rolled out nationwide; storePlay is now available on iOS, Android, Windows PC and Sonos and supports client messaging.
