Ivari, a Canadian life and annuity insurer, needed to replace an outdated underwriting notepad that offered no workflow, limited rules, and little support, all of which blocked its goal of straight-through processing and underwriting automation. The company chose StoneRiver’s LifeSuite automated underwriting system to support new business and underwriting workflows, integrate with imaging and internal systems, and handle bilingual, high-volume operations.

StoneRiver implemented LifeSuite with paperless workflow, rules-based clean case underwriting, automated lab review, auto-matching of mail, PFILE integration, and eApp data ingestion. The results included more than 70% mail auto-matching with no human intervention, 61% of labs auto-reviewed, faster turnaround times, improved productivity and accuracy, increased sales, and reduced head count through natural attrition.
