AmeriHealth Casualty, a Philadelphia-based workers’ compensation carrier and TPA services provider, was looking to improve its overall business processes, especially claims operations, customer service, and workflow efficiency. Its existing system was not integrated with policy administration, bill review, and reporting tools, and it was difficult to use because it was not browser-based. AmeriHealth Casualty turned to StoneRiver and its CompSuite® workers’ compensation administration platform to address these issues.
StoneRiver implemented CompSuite as a hosted, fully integrated solution covering policy administration, billing, claims management, case management, and bill review. The new browser-based system improved navigation, simplified training, and let users manage multiple policies and claims at once, helping drive about $500,000 in annual savings. It also supported better customer service and helped AmeriHealth Casualty win a new client shortly after launch, while StoneRiver continued partnering with the company on enhancements.
