Tech Company Builds Hybrid Infrastructure with StoneFly and Azure

The Tech Company, a New Jersey-based technology services and IT consulting firm, needed a way to scale its customer solutions without the disruption of constantly expanding physical Windows and Linux servers. It also wanted to better protect customer data from ransomware, human error, and hardware failure while integrating Microsoft Azure cloud storage into its existing environment. StoneFly’s Smart Cloud Gateway was selected to help address these challenges.

StoneFly implemented its Smart Cloud Gateway physical appliances to connect the company’s servers and applications to Azure, enabling policy-based hot/cool tiering, on-demand storage scaling, and enterprise data protection features like WORM, air-gapping, immutable snapshots, and S3 object lockdown. The result was seamless Azure integration, faster scaling without forklift upgrades, and stronger ransomware protection; the company reported being up and running in a day and noted that StoneFly’s solution cost less than alternatives while adding value for both the business and its customers.
