The Crimestar Corporation, a San Jose-based law enforcement and public safety software provider, needed a reporting solution that could handle ad-hoc queries across both Visual FoxPro and SQL Server. Their existing report writer, Query Maker, was incompatible with the new Enterprise Edition and could not properly link codified tables, delaying the release of the upgraded product.

Stonefield Query, specifically the Software Developers Kit, was implemented as Crimestar’s reporting and data mining solution. Stonefield Query became the official reporting tool for all Crimestar software, private-labeled as CrimeStar RMS Report Creator, helping the company deliver flexible self-service reporting to end users and improving the efficiency and profitability of its products.
