Wella Consolidating SAP and Non-SAP Automation on a Single Platform

Wella, the global beauty company behind brands like Wella Professionals and ghd, needed to carve out its IT operations from Coty and consolidate roughly 800 applications into a new standalone environment. As part of this transformation, Wella looked for a single automation platform that could handle both SAP and non-SAP workloads in a hybrid IT setup, ideally delivered as a SaaS solution on Microsoft Azure. Stonebranch was selected to replace BMC Control-M and Redwood Cronacle.

Stonebranch implemented its Universal Automation Center (UAC) on Microsoft Azure, including Universal Controller, Universal Agent, Universal Integration Platform, and the Universal Connector for SAP. Stonebranch also converted Wella’s existing jobs into UAC, enabling a relatively seamless transition. The result is about 9,000 automated tasks per day across SAP and non-SAP systems, with simpler workflow design, stronger hybrid orchestration, and future-ready integrations.
