Lands End Replaced CA Legacy Job Scheduler with Stonebranch’s Universal Automation Center

Lands' End, a leading multi-channel retailer of clothing and home products, needed to replace its legacy CA Workload Automation ESP scheduler as part of a company-wide move off the z/OS mainframe. After issuing an RFP and running a Proof of Concept, Lands' End selected Stonebranch’s Universal Automation Center to meet its robust modernization and scheduling requirements.

Stonebranch implemented Universal Automation Center with minimal operational impact and a smooth, on-schedule transition. The solution delivered easier maintenance, mass-update capability, reliable alerts and monitoring via a custom dashboard, instant failover and simpler automatic restarts, and continued distributed processing during IPLs—plus measurable savings: moving the scheduling manager off z/OS reduced CPU usage by approximately 19 hours per month. Lands' End reports improved operations and recommends Stonebranch.
