British Petroleum (BP) worked with Stonebranch to modernize its automation strategy as part of a cloud-first transformation from a traditional oil company into an integrated energy company. BP needed a more modern, reliable workload automation approach that could support its hybrid IT environment across on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud systems, including multi-country SAP operations.

Using Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC) as a SaaS-based workload automation platform, BP centralized automation across its hybrid estate and improved deployment agility. Stonebranch helped BP reduce annual costs while increasing functionality, achieve a cloud-first SaaS deployment, and streamline operations so that a full UAC upgrade now takes about 30 minutes instead of requiring at least 10 hours of planned downtime per quarter.
