Case Study: Skyeng achieves unified, low-cost cloud analytics for cross-product insights with Stitch

A Stitch Case Study

Preview of the Skyeng Case Study

How Skyeng built its cloud-based data analytics stack

Skyeng, a Russian online English school with 500–1,000 employees, faced a common challenge: independent product teams (web, iOS, Android, extensions) each used their own tech stacks and analytics, making cross-product questions β€” for example, comparing teacher-led lessons to self-study β€” impossible to answer. Chief Analytics Officer Gleb Sologub was tasked with building a unified analytics infrastructure to collect events from all products, combine data from disparate MySQL/Postgres instances, and surface consistent reports and dashboards.

Skyeng implemented a cloud analytics stack using Amazon Redshift for the warehouse, Segment for unified event collection, Stitch to replicate database tables into Redshift, and Redash for analysis and visualization. In about four months and for roughly $2,000, the team connected all products and databases, produced ~90 reports and dashboards, achieved horizontal scalability, and left the system ready to onboard additional data sources like CRM and marketing platforms.
