Case Study: Nokē achieves efficient ETL and faster BI insights with Stitch

A Stitch Case Study

Preview of the Nokē Case Study

Finding the key to efficient ETL

Nokē is a small hardware-and-software security company that makes smart padlocks, door controllers and related devices. With no dedicated data team, Hardware Product Manager Preston Wily handled analytics by replicating MySQL, Postgres and Jira data into a BigQuery warehouse for BI, but moving and querying that data from Google Cloud SQL was inefficient and CPU-intensive when using custom views.

Nokē adopted Stitch (a Talend company) to replicate data into BigQuery — a setup Wily says was running within a day and resolved CPU issues by using binary replication. As a result, product development and QA can quickly analyze customer feedback and device telemetry to fix issues proactively, other departments are starting to invest in data-driven work, and recent hardware improvements driven by these insights have strengthened the product and brand.
