The Openness of Product MDM Enables Seamless Translation Management

Fujitsu Technology Solutions (FTS), a leading European IT infrastructure supplier with products built from over 30,000 configurable components, struggled with vast amounts of product and marketing data. Translating technical specifications and datasheets into German, French, Czech and Slovakian was manual, inconsistent and time-consuming across countries, leaving information frequently out-of-date and slowing product launches.

FTS implemented Stibo Systems Product MDM and integrated it with SDL’s translation management via XML to automate exports, translations and re-imports. Centralized master data and the automated workflow cut translation times to 1–3 days, improved data accuracy, enabled whole-product-group launches and provided flexible, scalable integration for future needs.
