Manitou Group, a global leader in handling, aerial work platforms and earth-moving equipment (brands include Manitou and Gehl), employs 5,000 people and served a €2.4 billion turnover in 2022 through a network of 900 dealers. The company faced fragmented customer data spread across ERPs and subsidiaries, causing poor visibility, incomplete records and excessive time spent verifying and rekeying information as the business grew.

To solve this, Manitou deployed Stibo Systems Customer MDM (SaaS) in a centralized architecture, built a unified customer data model and appointed local ambassadors and data stewards to enforce governance. The MDM created a single source of truth, reduced data-entry time, harmonized processes, improved reporting and analytics, and enabled faster customer authentication — while laying the groundwork for CIAM and broader multidomain initiatives.
