Sternum Simplifies Telit's Security Lifecycle from Integration to post-Deployment Monitoring

Telit, a leading manufacturer of cellular modules for IoT devices, needed a better way to secure its products from the start without adding costly R&D effort or post-deployment risk. Facing a fragmented IoT security market and the difficulty of instrumenting devices after release, Telit looked for a lightweight, holistic approach and turned to Sternum and its Embedded Integrity Verification (EIV) technology.

Sternum implemented EIV directly into Telit’s existing code to verify execution flow in real time and block exploit attempts on the spot. The integration was completed in hours, with only about 3% overhead and no meaningful memory or performance impact, while giving Telit visibility into device activity, early alerts on issues including 0-day memory corruptions, and seamless security monitoring across deployed device fleets.
