Case Study: Amnesty International achieves a 10-day reduction in time-to-hire and consistent global screening with Sterling

A Sterling Case Study

Preview of the Amnesty International Case Study

Amnesty International - Customer Case Study

Amnesty International, a global human-rights NGO of over 7 million supporters, needed a screening partner after a regional security breach exposed weaknesses in its manual reference checks. The organisation required culturally relevant, compliant background checks across many countries and enlisted Sterling to provide a pre-employment background screening programme and user-friendly screening platform.

Sterling worked with Sharon Jacques and Amnesty’s HR team to implement role-based check packages, a dedicated account manager, and regular account reviews, outsourcing the screening burden and freeing HR to focus on other priorities. Since partnering with Sterling in January 2017, over 380 candidates have been screened, time-to-hire outside the UK has fallen from ~15 days to 5 days (a 10-day reduction), hundreds of HR hours have been saved, and candidate screening is now consistent and compliant worldwide.
