EDPR NA Distributed Generation Launches 23 MW Solar + 60 MWh Solar + Storage

EDPR NA Distributed Generation announced a 23.27 MWdc ground‑mount solar system paired with a 15 MW / 60 MWh battery for Mohave Electric Cooperative to increase renewable energy supply, better balance peak summer demand, and stabilize costs for the co-op’s 36,700 members. To achieve these goals, EDPR NA Distributed Generation partnered with Stem to deliver and optimize the solar + storage project.

Stem implemented its Athena® platform (including the PowerTrack solar management app) to provide 24/7 monitoring, AI‑driven solar forecasting, and scheduled dispatch control so stored energy can be deployed during high‑demand periods. The solution is expected to mitigate peak use, stabilize member costs, offset roughly 36,247 metric tons of CO2 (equivalent to emissions from 7,053 homes for one year), and bring local economic and reliability benefits to the Arizona community.
