Replatforming Legacy Applications to Take Advantage of the AWS Cloud

Major Stock Exchange Service Provider, a major stock exchange, needed to modernize legacy post-trading applications dating back to 1996 so they could run reliably in AWS and support faster, more scalable disaster recovery. The company turned to Stelligent for application transformation expertise, including help with AWS and Kafka-based messaging workloads.

Stelligent embedded with the exchange’s engineering team, reviewed and analyzed 19 workloads, and performed a deep “archeological dig” on 11 business-critical applications to understand and rework the code. The team rewrote applications to support Kafka on AWS, added shims and code changes, and helped deploy the workloads on Amazon EC2, improving the customer’s ability to reproduce builds, accelerate delivery, and modernize its environment for greater agility and scalability.
