GetPaid, a marketplace and community platform for tech companies and digital professionals in Africa, faced the challenge of connecting its users with global job opportunities. A high demand for technical talent worldwide existed, but African professionals were limited by their ability to market themselves and receive payments from overseas clients. GetPaid partnered with Stellar to overcome these barriers to entry in the global digital economy.

Using the Stellar network and its anchor platform, Stellar provided the technology for GetPaid to facilitate cost-efficient, fast, cross-border payments. The solution enabled digital professionals to receive payments in multiple currencies, which were settled in seconds for less than a fraction of a cent per transaction. This implementation by Stellar helped GetPaid attract over 7,500 applicants, vet 1,250 professionals, and successfully execute 96 jobs, creating significant momentum for the platform.
