Northeast College faced a challenge in meeting new PCI compliance requirements, specifically the need to find遗留 expense reports containing exposed purchasing card (P-Card) numbers that were scattered across its expansive network. The college turned to vendor Stealthbits and its StealthAUDIT product to efficiently scan for and identify this sensitive unstructured data.

Using StealthAUDIT's out-of-the-box regular expressions for credit card formats, Stealthbits provided the solution without requiring custom configuration from the IT team. The tool successfully located all the sensitive P-Card data, achieving compliance and improving security practices. As a result of this successful deployment, the college's security administrator recommended Stealthbits to a peer institution and has since expanded its use of Stealthbits solutions for a data access governance initiative.
