Ground Control use StaySafe to Enhance Safety of Employees Dealing with 62.5% of top Workplace Risks

Ground Control, a UK national environmental and external management company with lone workers in high-risk roles (high-voltage lines, Network Rail, water utilities, MOD sites), faced significant safety challenges — falls, electricity, trains, heavy lifting and chemicals — which make up 62.5% of self-reported workplace risks. To strengthen its lone-worker safety policy, Ground Control selected the StaySafe app-based lone worker safety solution after field testing it across key divisions.

StaySafe implemented its low-signal alert and session check-in features, panic button and phone-call alert notifications, plus onboarding support and training, so employees remain protected even in areas with no Wi‑Fi or mobile data. The StaySafe solution has improved employee confidence and usability, ensured line managers are reliably notified (including out-of-hours), and helped Ground Control better address the 62.5% of top workplace risk factors while freeing managers to focus on other tasks.
