GOM UK, an optical measuring solutions provider serving major automotive and aerospace clients, needed to address lone-worker safety after health and safety advisers highlighted risks for engineers who travel and visit client sites. To protect staff working alone and meet duty-of-care obligations, GOM UK adopted the StaySafe lone worker safety app.

StaySafe deployed its smartphone app across GOM UK’s workforce (iPhone, Android and Windows), offering panic button, GPS tracking, inactivity/duress alerts, low-battery warnings and session expiry, with monitoring available via an online Hub or partners. The solution was quick to set up, required minimal monitoring resources, and gave GOM UK a cost-effective way to strengthen employee protection and reduce lone-worker risk without extra hardware.
