Ericsson, a global leader in telecommunications technology and services, needed a more reliable way to protect its 500+ UK lone workers, especially field service engineers working out of hours and in remote, low-signal locations. Although Ericsson had an in-house response team, it required a better system for employees to check in and alert supervisors in an emergency, and used StaySafe Lone Worker Safety to help address the risk.

StaySafe implemented a timed check-in and panic-alert solution with location tracking through the StaySafe Hub, plus Low Signal Mode to keep workers connected over basic 2G when data coverage was unavailable. Ericsson was able to go live in just two weeks, set up 27 customizable Hubs for different teams, and use Hub reporting to improve usage and training; the solution helped ensure faster emergency response and better oversight of lone worker safety.
