Celtic Anglian Water, part of the Anglian Water Group and one of Ireland’s largest water service operators, faced the challenge of keeping lone workers safe at remote treatment plants and out-of-hours sites. After finding their buddy system unreliable, Celtic Anglian Water turned to StaySafe and launched the StaySafe app (and Hub) to provide a systematic, technology-driven lone worker safety solution.

StaySafe implemented its smartphone app, StaySafe Hub and outsourced monitoring so staff can start/end sessions even on 2G, set timed check-ins (CAW uses 30-minute intervals), and trigger alerts with accurate locations to a monitoring station. The result: immediate visibility of on-site workers, consistent reporting and audit trails, quicker response to alerts, improved worker reassurance and safety, and freed-up internal time — demonstrating clear operational and safety benefits from StaySafe.
