Hotel Hi-Ho An Early Investment in Contactless Technology Proves Invaluable During the Pandemic

The customer, Hotel Hi-Ho, a boutique hotel in Connecticut, was rebranded with a focus on being a modern "smart-hotel." Their challenge was to move away from a traditional front desk and create a more efficient, tech-forward guest experience. They partnered with vendor StayNTouch to implement its mobile PMS and mobile guest check-in service to achieve this.

StayNTouch provided a keyless, contactless check-in solution that allowed guests to select their room and receive a PIN code via email or text, bypassing staff interactions. This mobile functionality, which did not require a downloaded app, proved invaluable during the COVID-19 pandemic by enabling social distancing and allowing the hotel to remain open to serve essential workers. The solution helped Hotel Hi-Ho earn AAA’s Best of Housekeeping Award for 2020 for its cleanliness and safe operations.
