Rec Room, a social VR game with more than 29 million active users, needed a better way to ship features and understand whether product changes helped or hurt player engagement. The team wanted to speed up learning, improve the user experience, and make it easier for feature teams to measure the impact of changes on key metrics.

Using Statsig Feature Gates, Rec Room rolled out new experiences gradually and measured their impact in production. When a redesigned Player Profile unexpectedly caused chat messages and healthy interactions to drop by more than 25%, Rec Room used Statsig to diagnose the issue, iterate on the design, and ship a revised version that ultimately drove chat interactions back up to nearly 25% above baseline.
