Saint‑Gobain Velimat Polska, part of the Saint‑Gobain Group and based in Gorlice, manufactures woven fiberglass fabrics and knits for the construction industry. To guarantee the highest product quality, the plant needed an integrated SPC solution to monitor production parameters in real time, combining data from laboratory tests and automatic meters on the production lines.

StatSoft Polska implemented a customized STATISTICA Enterprise/QC system with a central database that collects lab and line data, displays Shewhart control charts on the shop floor, and provides engineers with tools to track process set‑points and correlations across arbitrary time periods. The result is real‑time quality monitoring, improved reporting and ad‑hoc analysis capabilities, and a solution the company says is now an integral part of daily operations.
